ROME (AP) — Italy suffered a blow before playing England in the Six Nations when winger Ange Capuozzo withdrew because of gastroenteritis on Friday.
Capuozzo was replaced in the starting lineup by Lorenzo Pani, who has five caps since his July debut. Federico Mori was brought into the reserves for the match on Saturday at the Stadio Olimpico.
In a second blow to Italy’s hopes of a first victory over England in 31 attempts, reserve back-rower Edoardo Iachizzi pulled out with a shoulder problem. That drew in the uncapped Alessandro Izekor of Treviso.
